What is Typeministry?

It’s the motivational typography project designed to give back.

Hi! I’m Clarice and the lettering artist behind @typeministry. I am a mama, wife, designer, teacher, creator, advocate, volunteer, and believer. My ministry lies in championing others. For the past 6 years, I’ve been hand lettering quotes, old adages, and scriptures that mean the most to me. Often times, what I create is connected to something I’ve experienced or have helped someone else work through. Throughout this process, the work has challenged and helped me grow. To my surprise and delight, I’ve heard that it’s helped inspire and motivate others as well.

We are all in a constant state of evolution. God knows it’s not an easy process — so it’s imperative that we show up and support each other with empathy and kindness. Why? Because we’ll never know what battle someone else is fighting. A smile, hug, or a pat on the back can change someone’s life. The simple reassurance that hard times won’t last forever could be the light someone needs. This is what Typeministry is all about. Faith. Inspiration. Encouragement. Empowerment. Truth. Resilience. Authenticity. Sustenance. Kindness. Purpose.

Typeministry is an ongoing, shareable collection of motivational hand-lettered messages focused on boosting confidence, lifting spirits, and creating space for lasting change. We are all ‘works in progress’ and perfection is fleeting at best. But, the good news is we have the power to decide to become better versions of ourselves.
